Research for Poster Designs.

The Beatles.

I have chosen these three poster images from The Beatles because I think that they are really interesting. In the first image i like how all of the band have a head shot and the way that each member have two colours on their part. I would change the colours of the image if i were to produce a poster like this. In the second image the band are jumping up and each one of them are doing something different. The third image is my favorite, I like how the band are walking across a zebra crossing in a single file line aswell. This is a deffinate idea for my poster design.

Jimi Hendrix

I have chosen these two posters because i like the way that in the first image it is just a studio shoot and there is a plain white background and the black and white effect works really well with the style of the image. I also like the way that Jimi Hendrix is dressed, and the way his hands are on his hips. The second poster i like is the 

Blondie

I really like these images on Blondie because i like the way each of the images the band members are wearing the same thing but they are on two different locations. The first image they are using a car as a prop which looks really effective and the second image they are in a lounge of someones house. The eighties fashion on this image looks really good and within my images and designs i am going to incorporate the eighties.

Album Cover Design (Test)

I was set a tast to complete and design an album cover by going onto 'Flickr'  and choosing an image from clicking on the most recent images and then choosing an interesting image and making it your own. We were also told to go onto wikipedia and we had to click on the 'Random Page' and then the title of that page which mine was 'taxi' and i made this the band name, and then we had to get the last four words of a quote and that would be the album name. 
To produce my album cover i imported the image into photoshop and played around with what i liked. There was somethings that i didnt like, like i changed it to black and white and that looked too dark and i didnt like the way it looked. Then i just played around with the different effects and i liked the way it looks like kind of blue and i also like the way the model stands out.
I think this is a really interesting picture because i like the way there are two birds in the image, it looks really effective.
